us at the WAVE HOUSE- Mission Beach at Belmont Park (where the
roller coaster is).
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
The race will be held at North Ski Beach on Mission Bay. Take the 5 Freeway South and Exit Sea World Drive and go right. Pass Sea World and take Ingraham St. exit on your right. Get in middle lane heading north. Go to 2nd stoplight, Vacation Rd., and turn right. Then take the immediate left to the north end of the island.
*Parking is free, and additional spaces are available across the street from the race site (turn left on Vacation Rd. and follow signs to either the North Cove or to Youth Camp). Please be aware that cars WILL BE TICKETED if parked in pull-through trailer parking spots in the trailer parking lot at the south end of the island.

LOGISTICS
TRAILER UNLOADING - All canoes
must be unloaded from the trailer parking area of Ski Beach. They CANNOT
be rigged in the parking lot, use the grass area, then paddle the boats
over to the north side of the island (see map)
DRIVERS TOWING CANOES need to
get a special day permit to attach to the trailer that allows them to
unhitch and use regular parking without getting a ticket. Permits will
be given out by Hanohano parking attendant from 5:30 am until 9:30 am.
PERSONAL VEHICLE LOADING AND UNLOADING ZONE
There will be an area at the race site
parking lot to unload your cars and passengers. No parking in spots
marked for rangers or park maintenance
PERMIT REGULATIONS:
NO DOGS, NO GLASS, NO LOADING AND UNLOADING
IN RED ZONES, and, (new this year) NO SMOKING. These rules apply on
the beach, in the park, and in the parking lot's.
ALCOHOL IS NO
LONGER PERMITTED ON SAN DIEGO BEACHES AND PARKS
